Short and Sweet

Happy Dog Days of Summer! Since you are probably busy with all things summer “vacay” I will do you a favor and like the title of this post keep it short and sweet. But my most favorite part about this title is that it has dual meaning as the subject of this post is also short and sweet!

Let me explain….

I recently had the privilege of being a very small part of a large community effort right in my own hometown.  It was “breaking news” of the best kind!

The official announcement and introduction was made on Monday July 14th by the Hollis, NH Police Department that they had welcomed their very first K9 to the Force! Welcome Skippy!

Skippy’s role of Community Resource and Comfort Dog is perfectly suited for him as he has a seemingly endless amount of love to give and has already wrapped everyone one that meets him around his little paw!

Skippy’s story and his journey to NH involved several community organizations, businesses and individuals who stepped up to the plate to bring him here.  I could try to explain it myself but, in an effort (as promised), to keep this post short and sweet and more importantly the story has already been fabulously authored by Juliana Rowland of the Hollis Brookline Community News so I will let you read her words for yourself!

The article is well worth the read and can be found here: Hollis Brookline News

It’s amazing what can happen when a community comes together to support a good cause!

Shout out to the following businesses that have brought Skippy to Hollis and/or have pledged continuous support for his future needs:

Operation Delta Dog

Hollis Veterinary Clinic

Orde Farm

And now without further ado….please enjoy these images of the Short and Sweet subject of this post…SKIPPY!!
